Let’s be honest; nobody really likes flying. Sure, it takes you from one cool destination to the other, but the whole thing is rather uncomfortable. You not only have to contort your body to avoid touching the person next to you, but you also have to avoid touching the toilet seat. It’s a whole drama, and that’s before you get onto the food situation. Airline food is notorious for being rather inedible, and it leaves many wondering who made it and where it has come from. After all, they can’t make these “meals” while up in the air, can they?

Everything Is Planned To Perfection
When you look down at the plastic plate of food in front of you, you might not realize that your dish has actually been planned to perfection. In fact, most airline meals are planned a whole year in advance, to make sure that the airlines are getting the best value for money. In 2013, American Airlines discovered that they could save a whopping $40,000 each year by getting rid of one olive from their salads – so that’s exactly what they did!
Making It On The Ground
However, you’ll be happy to know that this pre-planned meal isn’t made a year in advance. Instead, it’s partially cooked on the ground 10 hours before the flight takes off. This is normally done in a special kitchen near to the airport, where each food is cooked for a specific amount of time. Chicken is normally cooked until it is 60% done, and steak is cooked until it is 30% done. It’s then blast-chilled until ready to be transported onto the aircraft.

The End Process
When the plane is up in the air and stomachs are rumbling, it’s then down to the cabin crew to finish off the cooking process. They have ovens in the cabin that cook the rest of the meat and heat up the food that is meant to be served hot. While it seems as though airlines work with the limited space and utensils they have onboard the plane, there’s no doubt about the fact that most people don’t like plane food. Things become even more worrying when you realize that most airlines do not allow their pilots or crew to eat the onboard food…
Did you know that airline food was partially cooked off the plane?
30 Comparisons of the Food Restaurants Serve vs. How it’s Advertised
Gordon Ramsay keeps on telling people not to order any food based on the photos you see advertised on the menu of the restaurants – those are the ultimate nightmares. You will think twice about doing that again after going through these images!
A French Nightmare
Who says that breakup hurts more than anything? IHOP showed a picture of the dream breakfast you have been planning to buy yourself for weeks.

Then they surprised the customer with its twin that barely looks like the picture.
Gordon Ramsey Doesn’t Approve
Imagine ordering bruschetta and getting burnt dough absolutely free. This local pizza shop posted such a beautiful picture of bruschetta as a part of the menu. We were tempted to order this for lunch but then…

We saw the actual picture, and we are definitely calling Gordon Ramsey to comment on it! What we can’t understand is, how can someone ever mess up something so easy to make? This will keep us up at night, for sure!
Cheese + Fries
Quick maths! Buffalo Wild Wings did the maths right in our opinion. They will get you what you exactly order. Cheese fries? You got this. Here are your cheese and fries separately! Learn how to cook, Karen! We are just wondering if we order chicken wings there, are we going to get raw chicken wings along with some spice packets?

At this point, we think that these restaurants should just put a disclaimer saying, All you need to do is assemble the dish!
Subway to the Microwave!
Apparently, people order pizzas from Subway. As hilarious as that is in itself, these photos of their actual product are even funnier. It seems that Subway isn’t quite making pizzas but sending you all the ingredients (in minimal portions) so that you can make it yourself!

Not only does the dough look uncooked, but the cheese on the left pizza barely looks like cheese. This should be a lesson for Subway – they should definitely stick to making sandwiches.
Just the Tortilla
The first picture is Taco Bell’s Grande Stacker Box. Now, you must be wondering, what can possibly go wrong with a tortilla? Well, hold your “filling!” They sent a tortilla without anything inside it, it seems.

It is just the tortilla, and that’s it! Seriously, that’s just it! Do you think someone would actually go – “Hey Taco Bell, can I have a Grande Stacker Box without the fillings because that’s the best part?”
Before and After Hitting the Gym!
The first picture made us want to order it right away, but the second one made us lose our appetite. Honestly, this one looks like one of those memes we see on Twitter, 2019 vs 2020! The actual one does not even need any rating.

Just call it 2020! The rest of the world will know what it means. The buns look somewhat edible, but what exactly happened to the bacon and the cheese? Did they run out of them?
Bury the Burrito!
Taco Bell can be so disappointing sometimes! Just look at the burrito they are advertising and what they are serving. Can you please tell us in what way the latter one looks like a burrito from any angle? This is a big-time disappointment.

We assumed that we would find some ingredients in the burrito or something close to that. Little did we know that we won’t even find the burrito in the real picture!
Sauce With Pizza
Some people love to dip almost every food in sauce, and that’s absolutely understandable. Many even ask restaurants to add some extra sauce. How extra? How can someone ever add so much sauce to one pizza?

Even ten pizzas would have required less than the amount used in the original picture. We don’t think that anyone would love dipping sauce so much that they would douse pizza with it. If anyone like that exists, there’s something wrong with them!
Where is the Salad?
Suppose, you want to have a feast for brunch. You want to have vegetables and meat – the whole bit. So, you ordered a steak salad because, with it, you’d get everything you wanted in one dish. Now, imagine getting what you see in the second image.

What would you do? Is this supposed to be an appetizer? Putting aside the little amount of beef that barely looks like steak, where is the salad? This beef steak salad rather looks like leftovers from the dish on the menu!
Finger Lic… Oh No!
The first picture is KFC’s BBQ Pulled Pork Burger. Although they included the burger buns to make it look more like a burger in real life, we are having major trust issues after seeing this whole creation. Even a 10-year-old can make you a better burger with the ingredients.

Honestly, this burger barely looks like a burger. We are addressing it as a burger just for the buns that barely resemble the first picture that they are offering.
Bees Won’t Approve!
Here is what Applebee’s shows on the menu vs what is really offered. It genuinely looks like they just sent the curry and will send the rest of the ingredients later, doesn’t it ? This is some high level of bizarre!

Although we noticed that there is an abundance of meat in the real dish, all we see in the real dish are big chunks of tomatoes. Whoever ordered this, we hope you have got a refund for this!
Texas-Sized Joke
This Buc-Es was apparently offering a Texas-sized brisket according to the poster on the image. We think that they forgot the part where they said that it was going to be “big.”

On the other hand, they probably did exactly what they said, and we misunderstood them. It is still big, you know – at least the buns are big! This was some next-level creativity. We wonder what they would do if we ordered a small brisket there.
99 Cent Lettuce
You should name the food on the menu correctly! If you are offering just a few bits of lettuce inside a taco shell, then call it 99 cent lettuce on taco! Why would you call it a taco and send just the tortilla with some lettuce in it?

No one is excited for a 99 cent lettuce, just so you know! Even our eyes are hurting after seeing the actual picture under the advertisement.
Where’s the Rest?
Compared to the disasters that some giant food chains have served, we don’t mind if the rest of the cake took a flight to another land! The cake looks delicious regardless. Although the size kind of broke our hearts, the cake looks extremely mouth-watering.

They put the cream and strawberries in the right amount. So, we won’t argue much. Just a suggestion, show what you are exactly offering.
Tempura Green Beans
The advertised photo shows some beautiful golden brown fried tempura green beans. The picture looks amazing, and we would have definitely ordered this one if we were at the restaurant. After seeing the real picture, though, we think we might just walk past this restaurant and never order from here.

Did they forget to fry the tempura beans? It looks like they mixed some spices to the boiled beans and served just that.
Is it a Burger?
At this point, we have stopped trusting all the burger joints in America. Even the burgers we learned to make from YouTube videos look a thousand times better than the burgers these burger joints are serving. How can someone ever mess up something so simple?

The burger on the fight does not remotely look like the one in the first picture. Also, is that beef in the advertised photo and chicken on the actual one?
Charcuterie Plate
This restaurant staff must be really lazy. They at least served all the things they showed on the advertised picture. They just forgot to roll the meat and provide the same portion that they showed in the picture.

Hey, if you look on the bright side, there is one little Babybel as compensation. They gave you the olives too. Besides, you can eat this on a plate too instead of a board!
What a Burger!
The name of the restaurant says everything about its burgers. This burger looks nothing like the burger it was showing in the advertisement. Weirdly, it does not look like a burger at all.

On top of that, the original picture looks like a slider that has been through a massive mayo explosion. We do not know how exactly to describe what they did with the burger. We just feel sorry for the customer!
10 Bucks for This?
Having stale food from airlines is absolutely understandable. There should be a point where you can draw a line, though. The most that can go wrong is the taste. Here, United Airlines went too far with this 10 dollar dish.

It looks like the sandwiches we get at the gas stations are far better than this one from the airline. Is it just us or does it seem like someone put cat food inside the bun and called it a sandwich?
Cheese Burger With No Cheese
Burger King should really stop bashing McDonald’s all the time if they keep on serving food like this. As we have mentioned earlier, we have some major trust issues when it comes to burger joints.

We are adding Burger King to the list well. What’s a burger like without cheese? The answer is – Burger King’s Chili Cheese Burger! Apart from forgetting to add the cheese, they also managed to make the patties look inedible.
Cleaning Taco!
Forget your cleaning lady, we have a cleaning taco for you! This Taco looks more like a cleaning mop with some garbage that someone took out from the trash.

Perhaps, after taking the photos for the advertisement, some of the fillings fell on the floor and they decided to wipe it with the tortilla and serve it to their customers. In short, this looks like an absolute nightmare for taco lovers.
Try the New Zinger Bone!
Remember the times when we used to gush over the food from KFC? Well, that’s long gone, and most people know that. The question is, does KFC know it? Even if KFC does not, how come their customers don’t know it?

This Zinger slider did one job right, and that is, it has the bread. That’s just it! We are still wondering, why bother adding chicken if you’re going to add this little piece?
So Close!
The pictures are telling us that these are completely two different items of Subway. Even if they had to mess up the item someone ordered from the first picture, you would think that they would mess up some of the ingredients to an extent.

Here, they delivered quite a different looking sandwich instead. They did one job right: they added the bread to the Fungi Toastie. It seems that we can only expect bread from these chain restaurants.
Do-Nut Buy This
This Tim Hortons outlet was offering fruit loops donuts. So, they had one job – to put fruit loops on the donuts. It looks like they did not even get that right. Did they run out of fruit loops? Then just say so!

The donut holes look pretty old and expired too. If you absolutely love fruit loops and have no problem having just one little piece, then you can totally order this donut. We wouldn’t go for it, though.
Fancy Cucumber Dish
This item is from a mall food court. Our first question is to the customer, who buys grilled salmon from a mall food court? Here comes our second question, who even expects such food court restaurants to get the order right?

Honestly, mall food courts no longer disappoint us because we already know what to expect. The grilled salmon in the second picture looks nothing like the advertised picture. However, nice work on the cucumber and fries, guys!
Guacamole Who?
Did the guacamole get up and run away from the burger or did they run out of Avocado? Although they did not exactly send what they offered in the first picture, we kind of like the real one too. The burger looks edible at least.

On top of that, the chicken patty looks great too. The first picture definitely has our hearts, but at this point, we are not expecting much from the pictures these restaurants are showing.
Tacos Are Breaking Hearts!
Tacos are playing with our hearts regardless of the restaurants that are serving them. Here is another example of that. This restaurant added a photoshopped photo of one of its dishes and called it a day. No one would probably expect the taco to look like that, but the actual dish does not look like a taco whatsoever.

It seems that this restaurant sent the tortilla but did not feel like adding the fillings, just like most of the taco restaurants out there.
Arby’s No Meat Special
If you are planning on avoiding dairy products and protein for a while, just go for the Arby’s Bacon Beef ‘N Cheddar. It will give you everything except for the cheese and the beef.

We are just wondering, why would one put the words “Bacon” and “Cheddar” in the name of the dish when there’s no visible cheese and barely any bacon in it? The bun itself looks pretty sad.
No School Lunch
Apparently, this is what school kids are being served for their lunch – that too. But can you really call this Sun butter and jelly? This looks like a mess, and we don’t think it would actually be good for any child’s health.

Where is the butter? Also, can you really call whatever brown stuff is on that slice of bread “jelly?” If you look closely, the bread looks like it is definitely expired. How are they feeding these to the kids?
Let the Dogs Out
Out of business, we mean! The first picture looks like a feast to us. Just look at the perfectly squeezed out mustard and the bits of meat! Then again, it looks good in the picture only.

At this point, it seems like McDonald’s just wants people to go berserk on it for some publicity. At first glance, we thought that they did not add the sausage. However, it seems that there is something underneath all that yellow stuff – we hope that’s the sausage.
