Starbucks coffee has commandeered the American public’s interest in coffee. In some cities, you can find a Starbucks on every corner.
You never have to worry about being too far from Howard Schultz’s coffee empire. While you may be familiar with the many options on Starbucks’ menu, did you know that you can make small changes to your order to get your perfect cup of joe?
Here are some of the little things you can ask for and your barista will happily oblige.
Ask For Light Ice
Did you feel that your cold brew was 90 percent ice and 10 percent drink? Next time, ask the barista for light ice. You will receive more of the beverage and need not worry about it being too watery in fifteen minutes.
Order A Tall Coffee In A Grande Cup
For those coffee drinkers that prefer to add a significant amount of milk, this is a great way to get around pouring coffee out. Instead of wasting the coffee that’s been given to you, you can receive it in a larger cup with ample space for milk.
The Smallest Size Cup
Did you ever wonder why the smallest cup size is called a tall? Unbeknownst to many, Starbucks offers a size below the tall called the short.
Early Starbucks listed the short, tall and grande as size options, but eventually phased the short off its menus. It is an eight-ounce cup and costs $2 for a drip coffee.
Strengthen Your Tea
Do you like your iced tea to knock you over with flavor? If that’s the case, you can ask for your tea without water to remove the diluting liquid from the equation.
Have Tea Your Way
If you are not wild about the iced tea options, you can receive your favorite green tea or herbal tea over ice.
All you have to do is ask the barista to serve your tea on ice, and they will steep the tea and make the iced tea from scratch.
