While many parents and kids have been locked in their houses together for most of 2020, keeping the little ones occupied has been challenging. One way to keep your kids stimulated is to teach them to cook, and Delish is offering online courses to make that happen. Delish’s editorial director, Joanna Saltz, will be going live, with her children in tow, on the Delish Kids Facebook page. She will be appearing on the social media site every Tuesday and Thursday at 4pm ET to host a cook-along video for parents and kids.

Besides entertaining your children, teaching them to cook can help them to maintain this habit throughout life. It means that when they go off to college or into the world on their own, they won’t be stuck in the kitchen. If they can see the end product of their own hard work in making a healthy meal, it can stick with them. However, cooking with kids doesn’t have to be about making boring meals, it’s also about having fun and seeing what you can create. Delish will share the recipes Saltz is cooking in her videos along with what the editorial director thinks are the three most important rules in the kitchen for kids.
